Weinert Training

Meticulously designed and built by well-known track designed Lonnie Taylor, the Jimmy Weinert Motocross Training Facility delivers every element necessary to teach each rider all the ins-and-outs of becoming a champion.

Featuring 2 Supercross tracks, 1 mile and 1.2 miles. An amateur supercross track, as well as a mini motocross track and an arenacross track. Also a beginner’s track and a turn track, this state-of-the-art training facility offers spectacular jumps, incredible rockers, straights, tight sections for reflex training and more.

In addition, there is also a fully equipped gym to help you get in the best physical shape possible.

The staff at the Jimmy Weinert Training Facility know that developing skill and confidence takes time and their aim is to help you develop your two-wheeled talent to the fullest extent possible. It is best to use the technology to increase your training. While in person training for your two-wheeled talent makes sense, what happens after you leave the track and want to review the training videos? We believe using an online training tool called a learning management system will go a long way to help.

Offering both group and individual classes, each group session will only have 15 riders at the most and will provide one-on-one discussions to let you know where your strengths and weaknesses lie and what will help you better your skill.

If you aspire to be a top pro in Motocross, Supercross or Arenacross and want an advantage over the competition, then the all new Jimmy Weinert Motocross Training Facility is the place you want to go.

Just opened, this incredible facility has it all…two expertly designed and manicured Supercross tracks, two professional motocross courses, an Arenacross track, a special beginner’s track, a turn track, a fully equipped gym and much more.

Offering both private and group instruction, the Jimmy Weinert Motocross Training Facility trainers can easily tailor a program to suit your needs.  Offering three day courses, plus weekly and monthly plans, this outstanding training facility can also arrange special individual instruction.

An expert teacher, Weinert has been riding motorcycles since he was six years old. Extremely skilled and talented, Weinert won the first 23 races he entered. Competing in both scrambles and motocross, Weinert was also extremely talented in the dirt track arena. In fact, he originally planned to concentrate on dirt track.  However, after a couple of serious injuries, he decided to make motocross his main thrust.

Bursting forth on the pro scene in 1970, it didn’t take long for this young man to establish himself as one of the best-of-the-best.  Consistently winning, Weinert truly made history in 1973 when he rode his factory Kawasaki to victory and earned the distinction of becoming the first American to ever win a Trans-AMA event. So we have been trying to put up some of our trainings online for folks to view and its been really hard. I came across this program called Articulate Storyline for creating training but really need articulate training so I can get up to speed on this training thing. Any ideas?

The following season, he continued his winning ways, earning four AMA victories en route to grabbing the 1974 AMA 500cc Motocross Championship.  The following year he returned and again took the crown.

Plagued by a fractured knee, Weinert was unable to take the title for a third time, but despite his injuries, he brought home the 1976 Supercross title, making him one of the top motocross/Supercross racers of his era.

“Opening a training facility has long been a dream of mine,” explains Weinert.  “I have always liked working with both upcoming riders and professional riders.  Right after my brother and I sold our family business I began looking for a good location.  When I saw South of the Border, I knew I had found the perfect place.” Having a training facility to increase employee engagement and talent development goes a long way to increasing the productivity of staff. First things first though. As with most things we have to constantly stay on staff to use technology to streamline operations and create more effective training and e-learning.

Located in Dillon, S.C. right off the Interstate, South of the Border is highway oasis & gateway to the southeast.  A well-known landmark for over 50 years, this unique oasis has earned a reputation for providing a clean, safe & fun environment for travelers from all over the country. Of course it is always a good idea to check various business software review sites ensure that you are getting the best deals for some of our online course tools.

“It is really great,” says Weinert.  “There are 300 hotel rooms, 100 campsites with full hookups, restaurants, shopping, entertainment and more.  In short, there is something for everyone to enjoy.”

In addition to racing instruction, riders will also benefit from the fully equipped gym and instruction about the right type of exercise needed and the right food to eat to be at their peak at every race.

“Taylor has designed numerous tracks across the country,” says Weinert.  “He has an impeccable reputation and he has really out done himself at South of the Border.  Our tracks have everything to produce top champions.”

Another feature of the Jimmy Weinert Motocross Training Facility will be guest instructors.  Over the coming months some of the top stars of motocross, Supercross and Arenacross will be on hand to give riders special pointers and tips for success.
